Sperm bank

The least diverse cryobank I've seen in the US. We've been looking for donors of various ethnicities, and they have no black or Korean donors, 99% of the donors are white. Seems like in a community and national society with so many mixed race and minority people, its a purposeful choice that this company only uses white donors. Buyer beware.

Would not go back. Just after your money! Dr Havlock does not care and did not give info or updates after a major surgery (conditions,concerns) nothing. The after care nurses were great though. Waste of your time and money!

I went to clinic in Burnaby . The doctor was quite good, the staffs were good but some were moody. But I don't like the way, they rush the patients out of the clinic. I have tried IUI and IVF treatments.For IUI, they allow me to rest about 5-10 minutes.For IVF, after egg retrieval, they asked me to get up 30 minutes later on. I feel really uncomfortable about this. Also after embryo transfered, the nurse asked me to get up and go home right away. No rest. I would like to get a better service .Infertility is quite stressful, so I just only want to be relaxed after procedures, no rushing.

My experience with SSB was amazing...it was simple, user-friendly, and very professional. I was pleased with the quality of donors and the number of options to choose from; and if I needed help, someone always got back to me in a timely manner.

Julia was so helpful during this entire process. A fertility journey can be tough, but my interactions with this bank definitely made me feel more positive throughout my fertility journey. I would definitely recommend them.

A fertility process is a very difficult journey and Cryobank was the must stressful part. Julia never returned my phone calls, NEVER. Very disappointing. AVOID if you can.**** UPDATE***After posting my review, there was a positive change. All subsequent communications were answered in a timely manner and with empathy towards my situation. For the sake of transparency, I wanted to point this out.

From the moment that I contacted Canada Cryobank, Julia has gone far beyond what I ever could have imagined a cryobank might provide. She has been professional, incredibly informative, supportive and a life saver in situations where unexpected changes and expedited shipping have been required. Email responses are always very quick and clear. Highly recommended!

I called Canada Cryobank looking for information because I was a long waiting list for my local fertility clinic and spoke with Dr Julia Szeptycki. She was incredibly helpful and made the whole process so easy and so clear. The delivery went well and the instructions for home insemination were very clear. It was also a very neat process with the cryo tank and it was nice to be able to this at home. I would highly recommend!

Great experience!! My wife and I were able to conceive my son using ICI sperm on the first try in the comfort of our home.

I read the reviews and thought I would get a fabulous treatment. Everything seemed OK, until Julia started coming up with unnecessary invoices (at random times, like Saturday evening). At the fertility clinic, the staff had already told (warned) me I would have a hard time with shipping and storage, and that donor clinics were using covid as an excuse to come up with extra charges - so I was more or less ready for the fuss. Unfortunately, my dates were exact, so I did not need any extra storage. (You pay for one month of storage when you order your sample, whether you need it or not.) Julia suddenly started playing busy, told me my sample did not ship one week after I asked her to ship it, then threatened to not send it at all if I am using other donor clinics. Awful, just awful. I told her to ship it and to charge me whatever she thinks was appropriate. If almost $500 from Hamilton to Toronto seems reasonable, so be it. However, I ended up paying only the original $300 that were included in the price of the sample. My sample was deemed anatomically defective, as per 4 people (nurses, lab, doctor), and the doctor told me not to use that donor again. I would never use Canada Cryobank again, but luckily I don't have to. I asked other donor clinics whether it was customary for ONE PERSON to do all emailing, contacting, invoicing, administration and shipping, and they told me it was not. Don't be fooled by anyone's title or credentials. This is a dog-eat-dog game, and there is no compassion whatsoever in this situation. Have in mind that they only want to earn money, nothing else.
